There’s something profound about hiking and going on solo road trips. In 2014 I took my first real solo trip: a loop that took me from Oklahoma, up through Colorado to Idaho, around to Yellowstone National Park, and back through Colorado to home. I’ve been hooked ever since. Be it 2 days of camping an hour outside the city, or 2 weeks of sight-seeing over 4,000 miles away in London, I want to go. “Go” is as vital to my sanity as oxygen to the bloodstream.
Travel keeps me grounded in my everyday life and in my faith, and inspires the vast majority of the art I produce. The same bliss and freedom I feel on the trails, I also feel with my hands covered in paint and belting half-tuned praise and worship songs at the top of my lungs. I want to love the way God loves and experience life the way He intended for me: full-tilt, unafraid, unashamed, joyfully and wondrously. I can’t wait to share my experiences with you.
